As Copyright (especially Fair Use) laws are so confusing, we wanted to give you a general guide on what is legal and not to upload to this website.

The most confusing of which is "FAIR USE" of copyrighted materials. "FAIR USE" is a concept of limited use of copyrighted materials for a certain amount of reasons, one of which (and which is relevant to this site) is for Parady purposes. Please read more here.

Posting copyright-infringing content can lead to the loss of use of your use of this site, and possibly monetary or other damages if a copyright owner takes you to court. Here are some general tips and guidlines to help you determine whether your picture is violates someone's copyright or not.

Make Sure Your Picture Does Not Infringe Someone Else's Copyrights!!!
The best way to do this is for you to create something completely original! If it’s owned/created by you, you may not have to ever about the copyright—you own it! Be sure that all components of your photograph are your original creation. For example, if someone else’s trademark appears in your photo, you may need to obtain permission from the trademark holder or licensee in order to post your photo to this website.

Commercial Content Is Copyright-Protected
Do NOT make copies of copyright-protected content. The most common reason pictures for copyright infringement claims is that they are direct copies of content owned by another, and the copyright owner has alerted us that the content is being used without permission. Once we become aware of an unauthorized use, we will follow the procedures according to law. Please see our copyright statement for more details.

A Few Guidelines
Creating the content and/or making sure you own or have a license to use the content is the best way!

Use content created by others, but that is clearly within Fair Use guidelines.

It does not matter whether or not you give credit to the owner/author/songwriter, it is still protected by copyright - you need their permission or to be using it in Fair Use.

It does not matter that you are not selling the picture for money.

It does not matter whether or not the picture contains a copyright notice.

It does not matter whether other similar pictures appear on this or any other site we own.

It does not matter if you created a collage or other mosaic of other images put into one. Even though you edited the collage/mosaic together, the individual pieces of content are still protected by copyright.
